B-day celebration and Easter
We celebrated Garrett's birthday on Jan. 23rd, but since he was not mature enough to eat cake, we decided to celebrate again at a later date. On Saturday, Garrett got his first chance to experience cake and frosting! He wasn't sure about it at first, but then he began to have fun!!!
Already getting a little sugar buzz!!!
Enjoying the cake and having a good time!
Caught by surprise!
Ha, Ha...I'm a mess!
Licking my fingers
Took off my chocolate covered shirt and played with the plastic bowls in the floor.
Easter Sunday was the first time Garrett got to go to church. Being our first Sunday to get the entire family dressed and ready to go, along with the rest of my family, it was a little crazy!! In the mix of all of the hustle and bustle, I forgot to change the batteries in my camera. I was able to get a few of Garrett in the Family Life Center (we were late enough that the church was full and we watched the service on TV). However, and yes I am truly heartbroken/disappointed, I didn't get a family picture of us at Easter. I hate that I missed this special moment, but am glad that I got a few!!
During the Sunday School hour, we took Garrett around to the classes of our family members. We got the opportunity to thank them for their faithful prayers and update them on how he was doing. Most of the morning Garrett was in awe and shock of being around so many people, but that all changed when it was time to pray!!! He was quite vocal at that point...always fun!!

Yum, yum! What a cutie!
I bet the SS classes loved seeing Garrett, healthy, energetic and full of life. I'm sure it was special for them to see firsthand their answered prayers.
I remember the first time Zach ate cake. The first time he had no interest. The second time...boy did he dig in!
