Well...its been crazy since the last post & unfortunately I haven't taken many pics with my camera. Usually, we use Heath's phone. Hopefully we can download some of those pictures this weekend and get them up on the blog.Garrett is officially a one year old according to his adjusted age (on May 3). That was a special day for many reasons, both happy and sad! Garrett "turned one" and got to spend the day with LOTS of family members, but we were around so many family members because we were celebrating the amazing life of Grandpa Joe. He was very loved and lived a long and happy life. He will certainly be missed!!!
Garrett had an appointment with the developmental pediatrician last week. It was good news!! His responsive language (his reaction to "come here" and "wave good-bye") and his fine motor skills (turning over a cylinder to dump out a cheerio and placing a wooden peg into a hole) were measured at 12 months. His gross motor skills (walking and clapping) were measured at 15 months & his active language (the words he can speak) were measured at 16 months. In other words, we are on target according to his development!!! However, he still measures under 5% on the growth chart for his height and weight...according to his adjusted age!! Smart, but small!
Garrett is walking around with more confidence, but is still quite wobbly (especially outside). His new trick is pointing and he points at everything!!! One of his new favorite things are flowers, plants, and trees. He loves to point them out and touch them!! Good thing its spring and they are both in full bloom.
Hopefully we can post more pictures soon, but there is an update on what is going on in the life of the Icenhower's!!

Fantastic news...Small maybe, but he makes up for it in cuteness. I've loved seeing you guys out and about these past few weeks!
