Dallas Zoo

We decided to take advantage of the gorgeous weather, and the discounted prices, and take Garrett to the Dallas Zoo. As you can see...he was very excited!!! (what you cannot see is that we were peering into the penguin tank and there were penguins swimming right up to the glass!!)

From there we went into the Safari of Africa. Garrett got up close and personal with the giraffe!!! Unfortunately, I was never able to snap a picture of him turning around to me with a HUGE grin on his face!!

Garrett also liked seeing the jaguar's!

First trip to the Dallas Zoo, we took a picture with Heath & Garrett next to the elephant statue. Had to get the same pic 8 months later:

Garrett likes the statues of the animals because you can touch them!!

From there we went to the children's area. Garrett had a lot of fun playing around on the toys and seeing the animals a little closer!! First, a slide:

For some strange reason, one of Garrett's favorite things to do while we were at the zoo was climb up and sit on the benches:

So, I finally updated the blog...and I posted lots of pictures!!! I realize there aren't a lot of pics with real animals, but there were too far off! Plus, most people want pictures of the kid...not distant animals!!! Great Saturday with my boys!!!!!
