This Memorial Day we took Garrett to the Ft. Worth Zoo. Garrett loves animals and has enjoyed our trips to the Dallas Zoo, but we have heard the zoo in Ft Worth is bigger and definitely worth the drive. It was a GREAT day!!! The weather was not too hot and there was a nice breeze. It was crowded, but with lots of families instead of students on field trips.
One of the first animals we saw was the
rhinoceros...I LOVE the way Garrett says its name!!!

I couldn't get a good pic of Garrett with the "flay-
ming-nos", but he was talking to them!
I am pretty sure the mechanical dinosaurs were
Garretts favorite!!! He was so good to casually walk up to them...

and was quite brave until they moved and made noise!!!

Here we are looking at the Elephants. Now, because I am such a talented photographer, you don't get to see the HUGE grin on Garrett's face as he said, "three elephants!!".

The bird sanctuary...Garrett was saying, "tweet, tweet"!

The next to photos are our attempt to get a pic with mom and dad. However, the dinosaur kept moving and talking...which lead to Garrett not wanting to have his picture taken!!
Dadda with Garrett and the kangaroo!

This shot would've been better had I shot a video!! Garrett was standing on the ledge, looking at the penguins, and doing the penguin waddle!!!

Garrett's first
carousel ride. He did pretty good and stayed on almost the entire time!

We had such a fun day and Garrett was fantastic. He walked almost the entire time and has already asked, several times, when do we get to "go zoo and see the animals and dinosaurs?" The best part was being together as a family and making wonderful memories!!!

Looks fun! Garrett's dada liked to go to the Ft Worth Zoo when he was a boy.
