Black & white photos

Here is a new favorite picture! This is Carla snuggling with our "little buddy". This was the day or days following the surgery. We were still in the nursery. But Garrett is most happy when he is snuggled up to his Mommy or Daddy. And of course we love it too!
Here is a cute black and white photo of the little guy's face. He is up to 5lbs & 10oz. Also, Garrett passed his hearing test this past week. Which is good since we got to tell them that he will now have 2 girl cousins who live in California. Carla's sister found out that their baby is going to be a girl. So Garrett will have Hannah and Rachel as girl cousins and Conner as his boy cousin. We are very excited and looking forward to Conner and Garrett becoming good buddies! Also, please continue to pray for Garrett has his going home date approaches. We are very excited about not going to the hospital so much, but Dad and Mom are anixous about him coming home too. But I think that is normal.
Also please pray for my (Heath's) mom, Jana. She went to the doctor yesterday and found out that she has Mono. So she will not get to visit Garrett as soon as she hoped. We are so thankful to our family and friends who have and continue to lift us up to the Lord and send encouragement through cards, emails, comments on the blog, and through our families. I rarely talk to Granna and Big Pop that they don't say....I ran into somebody today who asked about Garrett.

So precious...we are so excited for you to bring Garrett home...and yes, it's normal to be nervous. Lincoln is 20 months and I still feel nervous! We anxiously await the news that Garrett is home!

I know you will be so glad to be able to have Garrett home and not make those daily, sometimes multiple, trips to the hospital. I was apprehensive bringing home a full-term baby with no complications so I can imagine what you must be feeling. God has carried you this far, he'll be at home with you, too, so leave all your worries with Him and just enjoy being at home with your family!
