This is a picture of Dad at his first attempt at bottle feeding. They tell you to hold him at this angle. It seems really weird to me, but it is supposed to help him swallow. Garrett is doing a great job at sucking the milk in but struggles to coordinate the swallowing step. This is after the first Dad bottle feeding. Garrett is growing well! He is up to 5 pounds 5 ounces today! Also today was his original due date.

This afternoon we came in to find Garrett was in his bouncy seat. The nurse was changing out all his bedding, so she put him in there. He seemed to like it. He was sound asleep. They had it leaning against the swing so it didn't actually bounce today.

Here is a picture of Garrett with his paci. He is getting where he can hold it in his mouth by himself. But sometimes he sucks on it too hard and it pops out!

We are scheduled for surgery on Wednesday morning at 7:15am for his hernias. They say that it is a pretty normal and not major procedure. But we are still praying for him to do well. Also we have had several nurses say that his feedings may go better after the surgery. We hope so!

Sorry it has been so long between posts. Time seems to fly by sometimes and it seems to drag slowly other days. We continue to feel your prayers and appreciate each of your thoughts!
