Last weekend Garrett went on his first road trip. We went to visit his Granna and Big Pop (Heath's parents) in Sulphur Springs, TX. Garrett did a good job traveling and enjoyed spending the day with his grandparents. They were nice enough to keep Garrett while Heath and I went to one of his friend's wedding. It was beautiful and nice to be out...but weird not having our little one!
Friday was our appointment with his pulmonologist. His breathing sounds good and the doctor told us we were doing all the right things (!!!!!). So as of now, Garrett is hooked up to his oxygen during the day, but it is turned off. He only needs it while he is sleeping/napping. We've had him on 1/8 of a liter, but are now trying to go down to 1/16th of a liter when he is asleep. Once he can sleep on 1/16 without problems...we get one step closer to being without it at all!!! At the doctor's office, Garrett weighed in at 11 lbs 7 oz and was 21 1/2 inches long. He is getting SO BIG!
This weekend Garrett traveled to Durant to see his GG and PaPa. We came on Friday and spent our first night away from home. He did a great job sleeping through the night!! We are all excited that Kristen (Aunt KK) is coming home from camp Barnabas today...only to head back to school on Sunday. I know she is ready to see her nephew! I am just glad that Garrett seems to travel nicely and enjoys being around his family!
