Busy week...

Ok...so this week has been appropriately named : Week of the Doctor!

Tuesday, both of Garrett's ECI therapists are coming over to check on his progress and work with him. Since seeing our Craniofacial specialist, we know that the occupational therapist is going to need to continue working, and possibly doing some new exercises, with Garrett's tightened neck muscles. The doctor thinks that those tightened muscles have something to do with Garrett's trouble looking to the left. The OT has also mentioned this and has worked with him some to loosen them (and we are working on it as well), but the doctor mentioned he still needed help with the stretches.

Wednesday Garrett "gets" to visit the Urologist. Since he was born so early and tiny, he was unable to be have a circ done before leaving the hospital. The Urologist would like them to be over 10 lbs before bringing them in...so here we go!!

Thursday Garrett will get his head scanned for his Doc Band (helmet). The scan has taken the place of having to have a babies head molded with plaster and the scan only takes a couple of seconds. This sounds much easier than having a plaster mold made!! It should be 5-7 days after the scan before Garrett gets his actual helmet. Be on the look out for pictures...

That about sums up the week!! However, I have a friend coming over on Tuesday for lunch and then a group of wonderful ladies coming over on Friday for brunch. I love having visitors...they make me feel like there is still a world outside of our "cave"!! : )But, I wouldn't trade living in a "cave" considering Garrett is doing well and hasn't been back to the hospital!!!!!

I can't wait to see his new helmet. I'm certain he will look precious!
