Doctor, Doctor, give me the news...

We had 2 doctor appointments on Thursday, July 9th. First, we went to the Pediatric Opthamologist. When babies are born early, their retina's are not fully developed. Garrett's doctor is very nice and gentle, but not the most loved doctor by his patients because he is messing with their eyes without their permission! However, he said that Garrett's retina's are almost fully developed and believes we will only have to visit his office once again.
Garrett's second doctor to visit that day was the Pediatric Pulmonolgist. He checks Garrett's heart rate and lung development. He was very impressed with how well Garrett was doing and breathing. He suggested turning off the oxygen tank some during the day since Garrett was going so well on 1/16 of a liter of O2. So...we took his suggestion! Here is a picture of Garrett with out his cannula. He oxygen saturation was around 94 and he looks SO ADORABLE without anything extra on his face!! We cannot wait to be rid of all of the extras!
In other words...we got good news all around!
Some other things that happened this week...Uncle Jack got a chance to hold Garrett for the first time! Cousin Conner came over that night to play so his Mom and Dad could go out to dinner. Happy Anniversary Jack and Melissa!
Kim and Hannah went back to California on Monday...so here is a pic of the girls and their kids! Too cute!!
Here is a picture of Garrett trying to decide if he wanted to be in a good mood or a fussy mood. Everyone will be glad to know he chose the good mood! He truly is a happy baby!

Yay for good reports! Thanks again for keeping Connerman. He said he had lots of fun. And...a totally different subject...love your post titles. :) So creative.
