GREAT NEWS!!!!
Wow...our boy is growing up! At 11:00 this morning, they took Garrett off of the ventilator for a trial run. The blood gas they did at 2:00 looked good, so they were able to keep him off. We went to visit him and everything was going well. The CPAP looks like a small mask that goes over his nose (kind-of like he has sleep apnea). They also took his Arterial Line out this afternoon. Hopefully, this means I will be able to hold him very soon!!! No only that...he has also taken a great liking to his pacifier. It was great to be able to see more of his face and a lot of fun to watch him suck on his paci!!

Great news. Don't you just love all the snuggle time. Tayden was only on the CPAP for two weeks, so it could be soon that he's off that too. Of course he was then on nasal canula until he was 8 months, but that's much easier to deal with. Anyway, I'm so glad to hear things are going well and moving along.
