New pictures....promised soon!

I promise we will get some new pictures posted soon. But I wanted to share an update on the Gman! Garrett weighed in at 3 lbs. 11 oz. last night! As of Saturday morning he is on the nasal canula which just provides him oxygen but does not provide pressure. So he must do the breathing on his own. He is doing well on the canula as of right now. We pray that he will continue to do well and not have to go back to the cpap.

He continues to get 32 ml of milk every 3 hours through his feeding tube and seems to be doing well with those feedings. Carla got to feed Garrett for the first time on Sunday morning! He did awesome and all his vital stats were great during the feeding time with Carla.

Also, Carla's Mom and three of the "Durant Moms" came down on Friday night to paint the nursery. They came down and arrived at the NICU to visit Garrett around 7:30pm on Friday night. After visiting the Gman and grabbing a bit for dinner, they made a trip to Lowes. So around 10:30pm on Friday night they got started caulking and putting kilz on the walls of our hall and wainscoting in the guest bath. I finally retired to bed at 1:00am. And by retiring I mean I stopped watching them work and went to bed. When Carla got up at 7:00am they were already back at it. I assume that they went to bed at some point between 1am and 7am. I finally got up at 8:30-9 and they were working hard! The ladies did take a break for a sandwich lunch, a snack mid-afternoon, and Pei Wei dinner. But they worked all day and finished cleaning up at 9:30pm Saturday night. These women are awesome and helped us out a lot. They painted Garrett's nursery including the chair rail that Uncle Jack put up, the hall leading from the living room to the bedrooms, and our guest bathroom. There are many stories to be told about the colors/paint for the hall and bathroom, but I will leave those for another time.

But we do want to thank them for all their hard work!!!

Mr. G certainly looks like his Daddy! I can hardly believe how fast he is gaining weight. What a joy it is to see his pictures and read of his progress. Thanks for sharing.
