Garrett is growing and making progess!!! Last night, the nurses noticed that the CPAP was causing "break down" on his nose. If they don't allow this to heal, it can cause perminant damage...so they decided to move him to a nasal canula. The CPAP still pushs air into his lungs to help inflate and deflate, but on the nasal canula he is breathing all on his own. They have tried the canula once before, but Garrett wasn't ready. However, last night, he made it through the night and did quite well!!!
Garrett is also gaining some weight. He now weighs 2 lbs 8 oz. We have a 2 1/2 pound baby boy! We are very proud parents!!!

I know you don't know me, but I have your site linked from my blog to have people praying for Garrett. It is so wonderful to see him progressing so incredbily well!! God is good! I vividly remember the NICU days. Before you know it, this is all going to be a blur! I'm still praying.
