As they say in the NICU...no news is good news. I rested a lot today and then went up to the hospital around 5:30 and stayed until about 8. They gave Garrett the last dose of his medicine and will do his chest x-ray sometime in the morning. IF the vessel has closed, Garrett will begin feeding again soon. IF not, they will decide whether to try another round of medicine or if the surgery will be better. He took the medicine well and slept soundly throughout the day. This is good because it means when he is resting he is growing.
Heath has gone on his trip to Austin, but will be back in the D/FW area tomorrow. I was very grateful that his Dad went with him. That way...he was not by himself and had someone to talk to instead of focus on the fact that he couldn't be here.
Our prayer for him right now is that the medicine did its job and that his vessel has closed. If not, our prayer is that the surgery would go well and that God will give us a peace about the procedure. God has been good to us!!! He has shown us his awesome power in the fact that Garrett is doing so well and in the fact that our little one has touched so many lives so far!!
