The good, the bad, and (possibly) the ugly

Well...the good news is that Garrett is doing well, growing, and moving. At my OB appointment on Tuesday they measured his head and femur. From this they predicted that he is weighing in at 1 lb and 11 oz.

The bad news is that I am in the hospital right now. At my appointment on Tuesday my blood pressure was elevated and they wanted to watch me for a while. They predicted about a week of bed rest and monitoring. So, I am chilling out in my hospital room catching up on some reading and watching some t.v. The food is not too terrible, so that makes the stay a bit easier.

The possible ugly side is that if things don't get better...I could call this room home until I welcome Garrett into the world. As much as it STINKS, he is worth it and I'll do whatever I can to help him arrive safely.

Please pray for God's healing hand to be placed on Garrett and myself. If bed rest is in His plan...I am hoping they will allow me to finish that at home. If not, please pray for God to fill me with a positive attitude and a calm spirit. As hard as I try, it is still VERY scary and quite overwhelming!!

Carla - I am praying for you & have a prayer chain going for you & Garrett and the family. I feel so much anxiety for you and I love you - I know it will all work out according to His plan but it's scary to not be able to choose what you want to have happen. Wrap yourself up in His love & be assured he does care and is there.
