This will have to be short post, but it sure is a sweet one! Get it...short and sweet! So I'm at work today and I know that Carla and her mom were heading to see Garrett this afternoon. Then I got a text from Carla that said, "I may got to hold him". Then a little bit later I got this picture from Carla's phone! Then awhile later I get a call from her and she is super happy! She said he is so precious. Then she explain that she got to hold him for more than 30 minutes!
Her mom sent the text photo to most the family and Carla said that she got a text back from Aunt KK saying that I bet Carla is on Cloud 9! In response, Carla said not Cloud 9, but Cloud 9,009!!! This is such a blessing for Carla to get to hold the G-man!
Please continue to pray that Garrett responses well to his second round of medication for his PDA vessel. We pray that it will constrict completely with this round of medicine. He should have the final dose of medicine this afternoon. So we would expect they will do another echo-cardiogram sometime tomorrow! I will do my best to post a message as soon as we hear what they think. It may be a couple of days before they can truely determine the results of the medicine.
Thank you to each of you who continue to pray for us. Your comments on the blog are truely heart felt. We love to check the blog to see the comments as much as you like to read about how Garrett is doing! Our LORD is so great and mighty! We thank him daily for each of you and the support that we are receiving. There is no way that we could have any hope or strength without HIM and Him alone!

How sweet!!! You are all in our prayers. I pray for you daily as I drive to work; thanking God for His awesome power and unsurpassing love! He cares about the smallest things in our life and gives encouragement to rejoice!

Oh, what a beautiful picture! Carla, I know that is just the best thing about being a new mom is holding your precious little miracle. I'm so glad that today held that treasure in store for you.
How wonderful!!! One of the women in my prayer group just walked in to ask about how you all were doing. I asked her if she wanted to see the blog, and when I pulled it up I squealed, "She got to hold him!" :) What a blessing. God is good. Keep us posted on the results of his tests.

We are SO happy for you! There's no feeling like holding your child for the first time. Heath, we'll be praying that you have that opportunity soon, but in the meantime, we know you are rejoicing for Carla. We continue to pray for that precious boy!

Oh my!!! I am so happy that you got to hold your precious baby boy!! It just brings tears to my eyes to think how this little boy has made his way into so many hearts! There's nothing more better than getting to hold our sweet babies for the first time especially when we have to wait so long to do so! I'm so happy you got to hold your precious baby! I'm sure Garrett was loving it just as much as his Mommy!!! Love you guys and praying for you, Garrett and those doctors!
