Garrett is one month old today!!
Each day seems so long and each hurdle seems so tall, but it honestly doesn't feel like he was born one month ago!! It is sometimes very easy to focus on the things I haven't gotten to do much with my son (#1 is getting to hold/love on him), but then the blessings we have received out-weigh the negative things. I am amazed at how tiny he is, but even more amazed by how hard he fights!! He is our little miracle and we love him!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY GARRETT

Keep your head held high and know that God will only do what is right for you family. I know it must be hard, not getting to hold, cuddle and kiss on Garrett. I can not imagine. I continue to pray for you, Heath and Garrett.

A month already!! What a blessing he is! I, too, am amazed at his wonderful parents and their total commitment to him while at the same time their total reliance on our precious Lord! We truly do serve a mighty God who cares about our every need, whether we're big and old or young and tiny! Just know we love you and continue to pray for the day you will take little Garrett home!

I have been checking your blog. I am so glad things are going in the right direction. You are all so brave. We have been praying for you, and Hannah says hi. She loved seeing the picture of you holding your precious son.

Glad to hear all went well with the surgery. I bet he will be extubated soon. Before you know it you will be taking him home from the hospital, and then he will be smearing first birthday cake all over his face. Once the NICU is over it really does fly. I remember feeling like time was creeping sometimes in the NICU, but once he was out it was so fast. I would love to see more pictures of the little one month old if you have some to post. I bet he is starting to get that baby chub. Only another NICU mom knows what I mean. There tiny, but they do get chubby.
