We started out the morning by going to church. It was great to be out and about...plus we got to see a lot of our friends who have been praying for Garrett and have been so nice to let us know they are here to help. Being my first venture out of the house, I was exhausted afterward. I don't regret going, but it was a hard way to learn that I (once again) need to take is slow.
After church, we headed straight to the NICU to see how Garrett was doing. Dad and Kristen were leaving after we got there so that Kristen could get back to Stillwater at a decent time. Garrett was doing well. They began feeding him 1ml every 3 hours and he is taking the feedings well. They finally weighed him again and he is a "whopping" 1lb 9.8 oz. I'm just glad that he is gaining...no matter how little it might be!!! His only issue today has been balancing his electrolytes. The nurse said they are just messing with his IV fluids to try and get it balanced.
To our wonderful family, dear friends, devoted blog followers, and faithful prayer warriors...THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!!!! You have all been so helpful, encouraging, and sweet. We greatly appreciate the prayers, emails, text messages, phone calls, and cards. To our friends who sent us some "love" through the mail...that was very generous and very helpful! We have been extremely blessed to have such a great group of supporters around us. Heath and I thank God for each of you daily!!!

We prayed for Garrett this Sunday in our Sunday School department as a group. Of course we pray everyday that he will grow and improve. He is so beautiful!! 1 Samuel 1:27 I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me my petition. Diana L.
